Dr. Ahmed Jama is the author of several books and articles on Islamic Financial Services and holds a Doctorate of Philosophy degree in Islamic Finance from Medina Islamic University, Saudi Arabia. He has 27 years of professional experience with extensive knowledge of banking and financial services and is currently a lecturer and dean of the Faculty of Sharia and Islamic Studies at Nugaal University.

Current Lecturer of Sharia and Islamic Studies and Director of Al-Najah University, Hargeisa, Somaliland. He is also a director and board member in several organizations in Somaliland such as Al-Madinah Center for Consultancy, Training and Capacity Building and Nur Al-Hayat Charity Organization. He holds a PHD in Hadith and Sharia Studies from Al-Madinah Islamic University in Al-Madinah, Saudi Arabia among other certification in management and capacity building.

Sheikh Mohamud is well versed with matters of Islamic Jurisprudence with 25 years of experience and is a leading And well respected Islamic scholar and community leader in Puntland, Somalia. He also holds two post-graduate diplomas in Sharia and Islamic Jurisprudence From Cairo, Egypt.
